PTA Events

The committee meets two or three times a term to plan events that you will see advertised throughout the year, usually at "The Anchor" in Fladbury.  As the money is raised, we listen to proposals put forward by the teaching staff, decide on priorities and allocate the cash raised accordingly.

The PTA makes a valued contribution to the children's school experience.  We aim to strengthen the link between home and school, offering social events for the whole family, such as the greatly enjoyed Bingo evenings, as well as opportunities for parents to get together.

We have recently enjoyed a family disco which combined fun and raising funds.  We plan to have a Barn Dance with a chance for adults to let their hair down, food from our PTA chair and dancing with help from Dampiers Round, we are also planning a family quiz to test everyone's general knowledge.

Of course the PTA 's most important role is to raise funds to supplement the school's general facilities and activities.  Projects that we have helped fund are listed below.  Ideas are generally proposed by the teaching staff and fund-raising events include the Fladbury Walkabout, where volunteers are always welcome!  There is also a Fun Run organised by the PTA, and all the family can take part. 

Fresh ideas for fund raising are always welcome as are new members, if you just want to help out at an event, bake some cakes, sell raffle tickets, we would love to hear from you. Just pop into the school office and they will pass on contact details for the PTA.
